So… you may not know this, but I actually live in Austin, Texas. My husband and I moved here last year after returning to the U.S. from England. He has an assortment of business ventures here and, truthfully, I simply love Austin.

There is something about this city that feels alive. Amazing food, incredible music, an inspiring art scene, and plenty of people who feel perfectly comfortable wandering into the “woo woo” space with curiosity and openness. At the same time, the presence of UT Austin creates this vibrant intellectual energy that I equally love. It is a city where creativity, ideas, and possibility all collide.
Despite living here, I have barely been still long enough to enjoy it. Between traveling to visit my kids in New York and London, helping with the winery, and launching Dream Longer Studios, I feel like I have been living out of a suitcase for most of the past year.
This past week, I slowed down long enough to spend time with my daughter, and she helped me set up my new studio space at ATX Art Hub. This marks a bit of a new chapter for me. While I have loved painting from my balcony overlooking Town Lake, I have begun to outgrow the space. It’s a little cramped, and I’m constantly worried about getting paint in places it doesn’t belong.
This is also the first time I will be creating in a larger community of artists, which feels both exciting and energizing. There is something special about being surrounded by other people making things, experimenting, and expressing themselves in wildly different ways.
I am excited about having a dedicated place to create. Over the coming months, I will be updating the website regularly with new artwork from both my Austin studio and the Napa gallery, which currently houses the majority of my work from the last five years.
It feels a little like opening another door and seeing what wants to emerge next.
